Joanne has been a business and career coach, team coach, coach supervisor and UK Registered psychotherapist since 1996 and prior to that, worked for 11 years as a Chartered Accountant, initially in public practice with Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) in Johannesburg and London and after that in private practice. During her time at PWC, Joanne discovered her talent and passion for the authentic development of people. In 1988, she established the in-house PWC mentorship programme and whilst in the UK was responsible for training and development of accountants.

Through her own search to find the work she loved, Joanne retrained as a Humanistic and Integrative psychotherapist in the 90s, started her psychotherapy practice and career coaching practice in 1996, and co-led a workshop called Careering Ahead: a workshop on work with Sandra, for a number of years.
